Appreciation

Hello People,
Once again another week has passed by and it has been a great week. We taught lessons and walked around, taught more lessons and walked some more. It is amazing how fun missionary work is when really your days don't change much! This week we had our Zone Conference and it was awesome. Sister Collings gave a really moving training about repentance and how it needs to be a foundation of our investigators faith. Even it needs to be a foundation of our faith. If we build upon the rock of Christ we see that the first principles are faith and repentance and true faith needs to be faith UNTO repentance. It really got me thinking about how repentance really is a joyful thing. I have really learned as a missionary how repentance really isn't something to be ashamed of doing but a joy. It really is an amazing experience how all that guilt can be removed simply because Christ loved us enough to die for us.
Also this week at our district meeting (It was brief because we had zone conference this week too.) I had everyone write thank you notes to the people who fed us at Christmas and those who allowed us to borrow devices to skype home. Anyways I took the responsibility or handing them out on Sunday to all the members. And it is awesome to see how much the members appreciate a simple thank you. Specifically one member who is a YSA guy here who always helps us as missionaries and is just awesome was really touched. I didn't think he of all of them would be so touched but he was. And it felt good. Even the Bishop you could see was touched. Showing appreciation really is a great feeling. I encourage everyone to give a hand written note to someone saying thank you. Even I want to thank my parents (specifically my mother) for teaching me this lesson as a child. And I am grateful they even supplied me with the thank you cards this last holiday season.
Lastly we got a new companion today. Elder Seibert and Elder Shumway have go to a dynamic duo to a teaching trio. Elder Dailey has joined us in Nsambya for the last two weeks of this transfer and we will see what happens from there. It should be fun. He was an office elder for a bit because he was having some knee problems but it healed and we will see how it goes now for him. It should be fun these next 2 weeks learning to balance 3 people teaching.
Have a good week everyone!
Love, Elder Seibert
